Princess Basma greets women presidents of the General Federation of Jordanian Women’s (GFJW) branches as well as hundreds of other women from NGO’s and charities who gathered from around the kingdom to discuss progress and concerns in Jordan’s women sector.

Princess Basma speaks with a gathering of women activists in a discussion about ways that can improve women’s living conditions during a meeting which was held by the General Federation of Jordanian Women (GFJW) .
HRH Princess Basma who attended as honorary chairperson of the GFJW, commended the women and stressed on the importance of playing an effective role in the development process.
The Princess also called on all women to look into what means are available, however little, to overcome their challenges.
The women called for amendments to legislation limiting the work of women and associations, such as the Charitable Societies Law.
GFJW President Nuha Maaytah (right of HRH) reiterated that the Charitable Societies Law hinders the abilities of women, particularly the work of societies.
